Smalley Institute, \u201cRice\u201d University, Houston, TX (USA).<br>-2009: Member of the research team developing the spin-off NanoShare financially supported by Miur<br>-2008: PhD degree in Chemical Sciences from the University of Rome \u201cTor Vergata\u201d<br>-2003: Degree in Chemistry (Summa cum Laude) from the University of Rome \u201cSapienza\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ET is the deputy coordinator of the bachelor&#8217;s and master&#8217;s degree programs in Materials Science and a member of the faculty board of the doctoral school in Chemical Sciences. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Research activity has always focused on the study\u2014synthesis, characterization, and device integration\u2014of carbon-based systems, both in the form of micro- and nanomaterials (nanotubes, nanodiamonds, graphite\/graphene) and conductive conjugated polymers. These systems are also studied in composite form and in association with metal and metal oxide nanoparticles. The preparation methodologies investigated include CVD techniques, chemical synthesis, electrochemical synthesis, and 3D printing, followed by morphological, structural, and functional characterizations of electrochemical, electrical, thermal, and electromechanical types.
