After 4 years of postdoctoral research fellowship at the Universities of Salento and Parma (IT), since 2002 he has been a researcher at CNR (in Parma, Milan and Rome), focusing on the chemical synthesis of nanomaterials for micro-optoelectronic applications, energy recovery and non-volatile memory devices. In addition to coordinating various research projects, he has been involved in teaching Materials Science courses at the Universities of Parma and Milan Bicocca.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His career is characterized by the chemical (and recently physical) synthesis of materials, for optoelectronics, microelectronics, nanoelectronics and energy conversion, up to spintronics. He has also been involved in technology transfer, especially in the strong interaction with semiconductor industries. He dealt with the training and mentoring of undergraduate and doctoral students and in the supervision of postgraduate and post-doc fellows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 2007 he has been group leader for the research on phase change materials for non-volatile memories (PCMs), topological insulators and, recently, PCMs for neuromorphic devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 2023 he has joined the Carbonsite Group at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, where he began to study the chemical synthesis of carbon-based nanomaterials and teaches Materials Science
